Fantasy Football Draft

I had my Fantasy Football Draft this morning at 10am.  First off we shouldn’t be having the draft in the middle of Labor Day Weekend.  Maybe next year we actually move to Monday afternoon so people can actually go out of town for the weekend.

I had the 8th spot in a 10 team draft.  Not exactly the ideal place to be.  Eitherway, I think I had a solid draft, but not the clutch performance of last year.

So here’s what my team looks like this year:

  • Favre, Brett QB NYJ
  • Delhomme, Jake QB CAR
  • Graham, Earnest RB TB
  • Lynch, Marshawn RB BUF
  • Mendenhall, Rashard RB PIT
  • Parker, Willie RB PIT
  • Rice, Ray RB BAL
  • Moss, Randy WR NE
  • Welker, Wes WR NE
  • Brown, Reggie WR PHI
  • Evans, Lee WR BUF
  • Henry, Chris WR CIN
  • Mason, Derrick WR BAL
  • Gonzalez, Tony TE KC
  • Vinatieri, Adam K IND
  • Patriots DST

Week 4 is going to be rough because of the BYE weeks for my players.

My goal is just to make the playoffs this year, compared to the other teams in the league I figure that I’ll be middle of the road.  I just don’t feel that I have enough big players to make a big push to be in a commanding position like I was last year.

All in all it fun hanging out with Lee, David, and Jeff.  I figure they will be over at the house a lot this year.  I’ve got NFL Sunday ticket again, and we all live within a couple miles of one another.

My iTunes widgets

This is a little interesting thing I found on the iTunes Store.  It gives you a glimpse into what my recent purchases on the iTunes store have been.  There’s several different styles.  Here’s an example of mine.

You can get to it by:

  1. Open iTunes
  2. Click on “iTunes Store”
  3. In the top left hand corner click on “Music”
  4. In the second section on the left hand column select “My iTunes”
  5. It will ask you to sign in.
  6. Select the “My iTunes” grey button
  7. Make your selections.
  8. Click on the “Copy HTML Code” button.
  9. Edit the webpage you want to add it to and paste the code into the appropriate area.
  10. Save and upload your webpage.

College Football

It’s back.  College Football in all its splendor and glory is back in action.  It’s going to be a great year for the Big 12 and for Texas Tech in particular.  We (Texas Tech) have a great shot at doing better than we ever have.  It’s going to be exciting.  I’m just hoping to get to attend a few games this year.  Lubbock is a bit out of the way for a quick weekend trip, but I’m going to try and make one or two.

I’ve already spent several hours today watching some great games.  East Carolina upsetting Virgina Tech, Michigan not looking all that great against Utah.  I’m going to be watch the Mizzou game a little later tonight, I hope that they are good, but not good enough to be Texas Tech for personal reasons.

Setting up photoblog

Well I’m trying to set this site up as a Photoblog site, but yet I can’t see to find a plugin for Wordpress that I like.  There’s too many quirks with what’s available it seems.  I want this to be simple enough that my sister and mother can use it with out calling me for tech support.  I know that’s a lot to ask for, but I can hope.

In the mean time I’m going to keep searching for something that will satisfy what I need.
